A spinoff company of the University of Victoria, Sensific is located on Canada's westcoast in beautiful, Victoria, British Columbia.

Management Team:

Mr. Dan Pringle, President

Mr. Dan Pringle is the President of Sensific Corporation. Prior to Sensific, Dan was involved in the founding and successful development of two other technology based companies, Open Options Corporation and Priiva Corporation.

Prior to founding and developing Open Options and Priiva, Dan spent several years financing technology companies, both as a commercial banker and venture capitalist. Dan has also served on the Boards of several companies and industry organizations.

Dr. Tom Fyles, Chief Technical Adviser

Dr. Tom Fyles is a partner and co-founder of Sensific and one of the principal inventors of the sensor technology on which the company is based. He has been involved in the research and development of several innovative membrane processes, sensors and sensor coatings. Tom has also consulted widely with industry in the development of membrane processes for water treatment and chemical recycling.

Tom is currently the Chair of the Chemistry Department at the University of Victoria, where he has been on faculty since 1979. His research specialties are supramolecular chemistry, membrane processes and environmental data management. He has authored many research publications and lectured widely. Tom was educated at the University of Victoria (BSc) and York University (PhD 1977, Chemistry).

Tom remains actively involved with Sensific Corporation as Chief Technical Adviser to consolidate Sensific's membrane technology platform and further develop future sensor opportunities.

Mr. Bob Rowe, VP, Product

Mr. Bob Rowe is a partner and co-founder of Sensific Corporation and one of principal inventors of the sensor technology on which the company is based. With a background in biology (BSc. UVic 1974) and chemistry, Bob has been involved in the founding, development, and management of several advanced technology companies focused on marine devices.

He is currently the President of RhoCraft Research and Development Ltd., a company which has initiated and developed a corrosion monitoring device for underwater structures, an environmentally friendly marine biocide and diver locator and safety device. Bob is actively involved with Sensific on a day to day basis and manages the overall product development process, supplier sourcing and partner relationships.

Mr. Dave Robertson, VP, Development

Mr. Dave Robertson is a partner and co-founder of Sensific Corporation. He is one of the principal inventors of the sensor technology on which the company is based.

With backgrounds in chemistry (B.Sc. University of Alberta 1975) and more recently in computing, Dave has been involved in the development of several advanced technology projects in the University of Victoria Chemistry department. He is currently the owner of Keystrokes Ltd. which has developed data acquisition and display software for the Sensific Dissolved Oxygen sensor, for example.

At Sensific, Dave manages in-house prototype fabrication processes and participates in R&D.

Dr. John Lee, Research Scientist

Dr Lee is an accomplished Research and Development Scientist with almost 10 years experience working in a variety of fields including electrochemistry, sensors, medical diagnostics and materials science. He has a working knowledge of Quality Assurance principals and experience converting research ideas into marketable products.

Dr Lee gained a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Loughborough University. He has held research positions in the UK with a leading Healthcare company and more recently on Vancouver Island in the Medical Device Industry.
